Hi everyone, long time no see. I'm Yuichi. I have been so busy that I couldn't upload my blog!
From August 10th till 17th, I had been in Korea for Student Exchange Program for Japanese and Korean university student. I have been taking part in this program since I entered university, and this was my last participation. I enjoyed this program for my best so that I won’t regret later.
After that, I was immersed in research activity to prepare presentation. There was a camp of my laboratory from August 30th till September 1st, and I had a presentation there. Though I couldn’t present a good result, “I did my best.”
This is my last summer vacation of my student life. For the rest of this September, I’m going to forget my research activity, and have a pleasant time!

Topic #6 Sale! Sale! Sale! - English
Now in Japan, Many clothes stores are having a sale. Actually, the sale was started from the beginning of July, but I didn't have a chance to go since I was busy with my part-time-job and my new job at graduate school. Most of the good things must be already sold out! What a shame...
I used not to wear hats, but recently I started to wear it, so I want some new one. Also I want some new polo shrits and new pants... Clothes are so expensive that I usually buy new clothes only they are on sale.
How do you buy new clothes?

Topic #5 Metropolitan Assembly Member Election - English
Metropolitan
assembly member election will be held in July 12th. Recently, you can find many posters, and there are many
candidates shouting their name from their car and waving hands to promote themselves. Also you can find some candidates
making an address if you go out to a big city like Shinjuku.
Recently, there is a problem that a pool of the youth is getting very light. Moreover, declining birth rate is making the problem worse, and it is said that the opinions from the youth is getting harder to reflect politics. One of the biggist reason is the indifference of the youth toward politics. Though we should avoid not being interested in politics, I think Japanese politics itself has a problem too. Japanese prime minister and other ministers are often changed, and they are inconsistent in what they said or what they do. Don't you think it is hard to be interested in politics under this circumstance?
Are you taking part in political activities like election?

Topic #4 Part-time Job - English
I work part-time at glasses shop. My main job is to advise some glasses that suits our customer, but also I can do an eye test. I like this job very much, because I like glasses and other staffs depend on me when foreigners come.
The most popular part-time job for university student is tutor. Tutor is very attractive for its high reward. Sometimes you can also have some juice and sweets. I did this before, and I got 3000 yen per hour with some juice and cakes! But tutor is difficult to start since it is a hard work to find a student.
For others, working at convenience stores or cafe is also popular. When it is a season for exam, examiner is very popular too. Only you have to do is sitting at a front of the room, and you can get more than 1000 yen per hour! But the problem is that it is very boring because there are nothing to do.
What kind of part-time job have you experienced?

"Sushi" - English
I went out to eat sushi with my family on my father's birthday.
Many foreigners say that sushi is the most popular food in Japan, and I agree with it too. I think the most good point of sushi is that we can eat a lot of fresh seafoods. I like shellfish, so I invariably order ark shell, surf clam, and sometimes abalone only when I can afford to eat.
But, If you are thinking all Japanese like sushi, that's not necessarily true. There are many people who say that they like sushi, but at the same time, many of them say that they have some ingredients which cannot be eaten. In my case, I don't like flatfish so much. In my mother case, she cannot eat roes like salmon roes at all.
Have you ever eaten sushi? What kind of sushi do you like? Do you have any sushi that you cannot eat?

Self introduction - English
Hi, I'm Yuichi. Last time I just said that I am a graduate student, so this time I want to introduce myself in more detail.
At graduate school, I belong to a laboratory which research on human voice like speech recognition or speech synthesis. My research is to establish a method to change an unintelligible English speech into an intelligible one. It'll takes a long time to explain my research in detail, but what I can say from this is that I like to study foreign languages so much that I deal it even in my research!
I like to travel abroad. I've been to Amarica, Korea, Thailand, Sweden, Denmark, and Dubai. With regard to Amarica, I'd lived there when I was small. My parents say that I had been to Canada too, but I don't remember well since I was small then..
I'm not so good at sports, but I like to play winter sports. Especially, I started to play snowboard and I like it since I entered university. I couldn't play it last year because I was very busy for job-hunting, so I must do it this year!!

Starting my blog! - English
Hi, everyone. My name is Yuichi. I'm Japanese living in Japan, and am graduate student. I like to learn foreign languages. Especially, I think I became a little fluent in speaking English or Korean. I'm studying all by myself, so I have a problem that I have few chances to improve my pronounciation, writing, or speeking skill. That's why I decided to make this blog which can upload my articles and speeches. I wish that I can last this challenge forever..
I think I can't update so often, but please don't forget to check my blog.
Thank you^^.
